Each View created in Nathean Analytics for a dataset that has run-time Parameters saves it’s own values for these parameters.

When creating a new view, the parameters defined for the Dataset will be displayed with the default run-time values saved in the Dataset definition. These can be changed to ensure a view displays the desired data.

Two editable fields are shown:

  • Display – represents the value shown to the end user
  • Value – represents the actual value passed in to the query

For Lookup Parameters, these may hold different values e.g. “ACME Inc” as Display while the customer ID of 12345 is entered in the Value field. For all other parameter types, the values in each should be identical.
