A Dataset created from an imported Excel file can be configured to refresh itself on a scheduled basis.

  • Check the Cache View checkbox
  • Enter a Timeout Period to determine how frequently the data should be refreshed from the Excel spreadsheet.
  • Enter the Excel File Location (ensuring that the Nathean Analytics Service user has access to the file and folder)

The Nathean Schedule Service will now refresh the dataset by re-importing the data from the Excel file every-time the Timeout Period expires. Set the timeout to 1440 (24 hours) and the Cache Start and Cache End fields to the same value to specify a daily time that the data should be refreshed at.

The Excel Sheet name, Excel File Header Row Number, Datamart and Data Mart Table Name will have been specified during the initial import of the spreadsheet. To change the Datamart or Table Name, click on Store in Data Mart to make these fields visible.
