Where an organisation needs to combine data from two or more sources, for example where there may be a need to show the data from a legacy system with that from the current system as a single Dataset, or where linked data exists in two or more systems, Nathean Analytics provides the capability to do this using Multi Source datasets.

As the data is merged in-memory on the Nathean Analytics server, this allows data from disparate environments or underlying systems to be combined regardless of the underlying technology.

Each source Dataset can be defined with it’s own configuration using any of the other functionality available within Nathean Analytics so, for example: a dataset which returns sales figures from a transactional database could be combined with a Dataset returning target figures from a datamart table that’s updated and maintained with a Nathean Analytics spreadsheet. based one or more common fields.
