Grid views are the simplest visualisation available in Nathean Analytics and will show data in simple tables in Dashboards

Simple Grid

If no Measures or Groups are defined, Fields marked as Visible will be shown, ordered by their Position in columns that are as wide as the Width Column and aligned within those columns according to the Alignment of the row.

Summary Grid

If measures and Groups are defined within the view, the grid will display each Grouping as a column (in the order in which they are defined) and each Measure as a Column (in the order in which they are defined).

  • Measure columns will display with a column name set by the Caption in the Measure and aggregate as defined.
  • If Position is set to Footer, a Subtotal will be added to the bottom of the grid for this measure. If set to Header, no subtotal will be shown.
  • Checking Sorted By will sort the data by the summary value of the measure instead of the alphanumeric value of the Grouping and it’s order (ascending or descending) will be set by that defined in the Groupings tab.
  • Column widths and alignment will be determined by their settings in the Fields tab.

This is best demonstrated by example. With Groups and Measures defined like so:

The view would display in Visualiser as so:
